Robertson Interview


Mr. Robertson

Mr. Robertson currently teaches 6th Grade Social Studies in Baillie Clan.

We chose to write about Mr. Robertson because he’s loved by many students along with us.

Q:“What inspired you to be a teacher?”

A: He said that he didn’t know what path to go down, but then a family friend asked him what jobs he thought of when he was little and they all involved substitute teaching and working summer camps. He then thought: “Maybe teaching is the thing I should go into because I enjoyed working with tomorrow’s future,”

Q:”What grades have you taught?”

A: He’s mostly taught middle school, but when he was in college he substituted at the elementary level.

Random Facts

He’s been to every continent but Antartica.

His favorite food is Italian food.

He’s been to over 30 countries… for example, Ireland, Brazil,China, and Australia

His favorite part of history to teach is World War 1.

He started teaching at BEMS in 2008.

His favorite part about his job is passing on knowledge to tomorrow’s future.

Potential jobs he thought of in college when he didn’t know what path to go down were Veterinarian, FBI Agent, Pediatrician, and Movie critic.

His dream car is a 1958 Porsche Speedster convertible.

Some of his favorite places to travel are Rome, Italy, Greece but some of the nicest people he’s ever met in his life were in South Africa.

Our opinions about Mr. Robertson:

Riley Southard: He is really nice and fun loving, Mr. Robertson is one of my favorite teachers.

Janelle Anastacio: I think he’s a very cool person and has a great personality and he’s fun and enjoying. He’s definitely in my top 3 favorite teachers

Lilian Rodriguez: My opinion is he’s a pretty laid-back teacher, and he explains things really well. Overall, he’s a pretty top-notch teacher.
