Mrs. Adams
We chose Mrs. Adams for our interview and our questions were about the difference between 6th and 7th grade.
What convinced you to switch to math from L.A? She just finished her masters degree and teaching math is a good skill set to have.
Since she switched from a 6th grade teacher to a 7th grade teacher we were wondering what the difference was. She said that 7th graders are more mature and mostly better prepared for class.
To follow up with that question we were wondering what she liked about the difference. She liked that they are able to understand the lessons better and that they are again more mature.
We asked if she liked having some of the same students that she had last year and why she likes having them. Her answer was is that it is an interesting experience and it feels different since they have grown in learning. She hasn’t ever taught Language Arts before except for in college when she was a student teacher, and Language Arts is different than teaching math because in L.A. you teach multiple lessons at once unlike math where you only focus on one.
Personal questions
We asked, what do you like to do in your free time? She said she like to work out and run, spend lots of time with family and friends, go on adventures and going to country concerts.
Food: Her favorite food is chicken alfredo.
Classroom:Her classroom is very different from last years classroom and she like it better because it has a sink, closet which goes into Mr. Ruby’s room and it also has a lot more space.
Thank you Mrs. Adams for spending 7 great years with us at B.E.M.S., and many more to come!
