Bullying
Bullying is caused by many things but one of the biggest things is they may be bullied themselves. “Bullying can affect everyone—those who are bullied and those who bully, and those who witness bullying” according to stopbullying.gov. Kids who are bullied can experience negative physical, school, and mental health issues. Although kids who are bullied are at risk of suicide, bullying alone is not the cause. Many issues contribute to suicide risk, including depression, problems at home, and trauma history, also according to stopbullying.gov. Depression and anxiety, increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, changes in sleep and eating patterns, and loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy. “Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate or aggressively dominate others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual” according to Wikipedia.
Bullying is something that not many people can prevent but in some ways you can. If you or someone you know is having problems with someone or people bullying tell someone. It's not going to get better if you just let it happen. Clearly the person that's making fun of you may have some problems at home. Actually it's very common for a bully to also be bullied. In fact I have been bullied and I also have been a bully. The bullying for me all started in third grade but I found ways to cope with the bullying and now those people and I are good friends. But the one thing you should know is that you’re not alone. Things may not get better right away but it does get better and hurting yourself or other people is not going to make things better and being rude back doesn't help either. They say “two wrongs don’t make a right.”
Talk to the guidance counselor or somebody if you feel bullied or like you need help.
