Ms. Bryand is our new BEMS band teacher. She came from Auburn and is glad to be here. She likes her students. This year is a bit more challenging for her because she has three different grades to teach. She is busy with jazz band and the new house that she just bought. She moved to Windham from Auburn. She was teaching marching band in Auburn, but that has finished, so she will be a little less busy. I asked her what one difference is between working here and in Auburn, and she said, “The main difference is that I am teaching in one school. I was teaching in six different schools and traveling a lot during the day.” This is her seventh year teaching band. She decided to become a band teacher because she loves playing all of her instruments, and she wanted to share that ability with others! She plays clarinet and piano the best, but she can also play the flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and some percussion. She is planning on being here next year and has had a great year so far. Thank you very much Ms. Bryand for letting me interview you. We’re happy to have you here.
